In martial arts, we know that holding a strong stance is extremely vital, especially in a fight or confronting a grappler (Jiujitsu style for example). Rooting Technique is a method of develop your external body coordination and internal balance of Yin and Yang to withstand any strong force. It does not mean holding a low stance and having strong legs. This clip is a nice demonstration of a Taiji Master Chen Xiaowang on Rooting Technique. Unfortunately I could not understand Chinese to translate the audio part, it’d be great if someone does.
